A useful addition to the Poultry Keeper’s armoury as an aid in cases of feather pecking. The antibacterial tar seals the area allowing natural healing to take place and deters further attack. Simply apply with a small brush to the affected area.
The tar will stick to the bird's beak that is doing the pecking and will give it something to do. It will want to remove he annoying sticky tar from its beak. This will keep the dominant pecking chicken busy rather than continue to peck the other birds.

Well I knew before buying that it was sticky so made sure I was well covered before using. I have only put it on today so will have to wait to see how effective it is

It's a basic product so not a lot to say about it. Sticks to the hens longer that the spray if using it for anti-pecking, but obviously messy to apply. I've actually added a large dollop to the anti-pecking spray to beef that up a bit - works well.
