Good product but expensive and increasingly difficult to find especially in 10kg bags. Luckily able to fulfill need with Viovetin this occasion

Early days yet put both my house cats on it as they seem to be gaining weight on peruna house cat. They both enjoy the change and I am hoping they can lose a bit of weight. It’s to early to see results yet but they are on the weight guidelines so will see.

Feed this to all 3 cats, but primarily bought for overweight Pixie (aka Pudding). She is still very fat, but I suspect is subsidising her diet via neighbours cat-flaps! All 3 seem to like it and are looking healthy and I find it good value for money.

Cats like it. They are both a bit overweight so I try to get them to eat light food.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding PRO PLAN Light Adult 1+ Turkey Cat Food, including answers from our team.
Mrs. A Fiander
My cat has been over weight now for 3yrs, I've had her on hills metabolic for roughly 2yrs but she lost no weight at all on that.
I've tried hills r/d to but that didn't work, so I now have her on proplan diet dry food, she's been on it for about 4wks, and we feel she has lost a little weight.
How long does it take for this food to take full effect on weight loss??
Kind Regards
Annette
Hi there,
Thank you for your question.
Feeding quantities required to maintain ideal body weight will vary depending on age, activity and environment. You should re-evaluate your cat's weight and body condition after several weeks. Also, make sure you are feeding for weight loss, not weight maintenance. Here is the guideline:
Recommended daily amount (g/day): | ||
Cat Weight | Weight Loss | Maintenance |
2 - 4kg | 55 - 85 | 70 - 105 |
4 - 6kg | 85 - 110 | 105 - 140 |
6 - 8kg | 110 - 140 | 140 - 175 |
If there is still no weight loss after several weeks then the feeding quantity needs reducing and you should consult your vet.
I hope this helps.
