Why Choose Drontal Dog Tasty Bone Tablets?
Drontal Tasty Bone worming tablets work fast to kill every type of intestinal worm commonly found in UK dogs, giving you peace of mind that you are helping keep internal parasites away from your pet and family.
Dogs can pick up worms without you even realising it, as they often show few, if any, noticeable signs of infection and they can steal the valuable nutrients your dog needs to live a happy and healthy life. If left untreated, worms can lead to serious health complications for you and your family. Drontal Dog Tasty Bone Tablets are highly-effective and make worming easy. You might not know if your dog has intestinal worms, but you can trust Drontal to help combat them.
INSTRUCTIONS
For oral administration only.
Dosage Guide:
For dogs between 2 and 20kg use Drontal Tasty Bone Wormer Tablets for Small and Medium Dogs (2 to 20kg):
2-5kg body weight = 0.5 Tablet
>5-10kg body weight = 1 Tablet
>10-15kg body weight = 1.5 Tablets
>15-20kg body weight = 2 Tablets
How often should I worm my dog?
Research has shown that the majority of dogs in the UK should be wormed monthly, based on their home environment and lifestyle such as scavenging, spending time outdoors off their lead and even access to back gardens.* However, there may be situations where less frequent treatment is required and it’s best to speak to your vet about the most appropriate worming frequency for your dog.

Does the Drontol prevent lung worm please?
Drontal does not cover against lungworm. Only prescription wormers will protect against the most common form of canine lungworm, Angiostrongylus Vasorum. These include products containing milbemycin or moxidectin.

Can I use drintal tasty bone 50mg 3 monthly for my dog
This depends on the risk level of your dog. If they are a known scavenger (they often eat things outside) and/or they are living with immunocompromised individuals (e.g. the young or elderly) then monthly worming is advised. Otherwise every 3 months is usually standard.

How many tablets in each pkt of worming tabs for small dogs please
This depends on the product you choose from the drop down box. Currently this wormer is sold in single tablets only, so if you need 4 (for example) then you will need to purchase 4 x 1 tablet.

My puppy 10 weeks old, 2kg, can use this?thanks
If your puppy is 2kg or over and weaned then these tablets are safe for use. Your 2kg pup will need 1/2 a normal sized tablet (1 per 10kg).

Hello, my 5 month Chihuahua pup will need to be wormed shortly. Is this product ok if he weighs 1.5kg?
Drontal is not suitable for dogs weighing less than 2kg. I recommend checking out our own brand TermaWorm instead, this can be dosed to dogs over 0.5kg by giving one quarter of a tablet.
Marie
Is this medication given monthly or every three months, no instructions recieved for dog at 17 & 20 kg
It is usually advised to worm every 3 months as standard. If your dogs are known scavengers and around immunocompromised individuals (e.g. the young or elderly) then monthly dosing is recommended.

I have 2 labs. One weighs 26kg, so would it be ok to give 2 and a half of these tablets? The other is 35kg, so would it be ok to give him 4 of these? I know i can buy the XL size, but that works out more expensive.
Thank you
Yes, you can use the 1 per 10kg tablets only. Your 26kg dog would need 3 tablets and your 35kg dog 3+1/2 tablets. You mau find it is actually a similar cost to use 1 x Drontal XL in each dog than this many of the 1 per 10kg tablets though.

Hello!
Our dog has some strong side effects from Panacur when he takes it to treat giardia. The drug makes him upset and unsettled. Would Frontal be an effective replacement to treat giardia?
Thanks!
Drontal is not licensed to treat Giardia however the ingredients within have been shown to treat Giardia in certain studies. If your dog is reacting to Panacur then it is important to discuss this further with your vet as adverse events need reporting. It may also be a good option to use Drontal, unfortunately we cannot advise on what doseage would be required as this is an off license use of the medication. Your vet will be able to provide this information though.
