Protexin Pro-Soluble is a probiotic supplement, formulated to specifically restore and encourage normal digestive function for long term use. Highly palatable and can be added to water, food or milk, Pro-Soluble contains naturally occurring microorganisms to promote efficient and healthy gastric conditions. The micro organisms colonise the gut and help exclude potentially pathogenic bacteria.
The 150g pot is marketed for dogs and the 500g pot is for cattle, chickens, calves, lamb, piglets and older birds. The active probiotic organism in both products is the same, and at the same concentration.

This product has been great in helping my puppy's digestion. She used to have a lot of accidents and not a great toilet routine but now she has a good toilet routine and healthy poos.

Our cat had a really sensitive stomach but the addition of this in her food every day means life is pretty normal so wouldn’t be without it! Great delivery and subscription means we never run out. Very happy thank you!

I own a weimaraner who scavenges for food & continually gets an upset tummy. Protexin Pro-Soluble corrects this problem.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Protexin Pro-Soluble, including answers from our team.

Will this help to firm up my cats loose stool? She often had a sensitive stomach. Or would the pro fibre be better for this?
Pro-Soluble is purely a probiotic supplement. This will help normalise the gut flora which may normalise the stools. You are best using a probiotic supplement that also contains a stool firmer though, such as Pro-Fibre or our own brand ReguTum Fibre Care Powder.

Is this the same 'make up' as the sachets? And if so is it the same dose to be given? It's for my cat who has this once a day.
The Protexin Enterogenic sachets contains additional Vitamin B12 whilst the Pro-Soluble just contains probiotic alongside dextrose (a form of sugar). They are different products so I recommend following your vet's advice on which one to give. They may have suggested the sachets in order to supplement vitamin 12 (cobalamin).

Product says for cats and dogs but doesn't give the relevant dosage does anyone know? Thank you
The dosage for cats is 1/2 to 1 level scoop daily.

Hi, can you tell me what the difference is between Bio Premium/Pro Soluable. My dog has a very sensitive digestion and wondered which would be most suitalbe. thanks
Both products would be suitable for long term use in a dog with sensitive digestion. Protexin BioPremium is the more advanced supplement and contains probiotics, prebiotics and yeasts helpful to the gut where Pro-Soluble contains only probiotics. I would probably try BioPremium and see how your dog gets on with it.

Can you tell me why this product contains dextrose?
I believe this is just a suitable "filler" to facilitate using the product. The total volume of the actual micro-organisms is tiny and giving a suitable amount of them in a dispersible form would not be possible without a "vehicle" to put them in. Dextrose works well for this.
