Cats love it though I'm not sure how much ends up on their teeth vs straight down their throats!
Either way it helps them to accept the toothbrush a bit more. I'm just undecided if there is a benefit to the enzyme factor and cost vs cheaper basic meat flavoured toothpastes. I'll keep using it and see if it improves their teeth and gums.

Sorbitol is listed as its first ingredient in the list. I thought that Sorbitol was very bad for dogs!?
Sorbitol is safe for use in dog and catss at the dosing guidelines mentioned on the packaging for this product. You may be thinking of xylitol which can be toxic to pets?

Does it have to be applied with a brush to effectively combat decay?
This paste will still assist with aiding dental hygeine if applied onto the teeth without a brush. However it will be much more effect alongside the use of a toothbrush.

Is this product ok for diabetic dogs?
This product does contain glycerin which can affect blood sugar levels. However the amount given will be so small compared to the overall diet that this is unlikely to cause any problems. It is advised to run the use of the gel past your vet though to be certain.

Can I use this with a cat who has previously suffered from pancreatitis? She is now on a vet diet cat food.
This product contains flavouring dependant on which flavour you choose. Cats can have a food intolerance component to their pancreatitis so it cannot be ruled out that any flavouring may set off the condition. It is best to ask your vet whether a food intolerance is something to be concerned about, if not then the toothpaste should be fine.
You can use unflavoured toothpastes such as Dentisept safely though even if a food intolerance is present.

Is this suitable for a puppy?
Yes this product is safe for use in a puppy. it is a great idea to start toothbrushing at an early age as much of the process involves training your dog to tolerate the procedure. It can be an enjoyable process as the toothpastes are often very palatable.

what this toothpaste taste like?
my question is my dog is allergic to herbal like Rosemary, Thyme
and this included?
This toothpaste contains the following ingredients:
Sorbitol, Amorphous Silicon Dioxide, Glycerine, Dicalcium Phosphate Anhydrous, Titanium Dioxide.
These are not herbs like Rosemary/Thyme etc. The sorbitol is a sweetener so the product should taste sweet.
Craig Chamberlain
Our dog is allergic to all meats except duck and rabbit. Does this toothpaste contain any chicken or other animal products or is it just a synthetic flavouring? Thanks.
Hi Craig,
Thank you for your question. There is poultry digest in this product, so it probably won't be suitable. The full list of ingredients can be found below.
